Visiting Filming Locations of "La terza madre" (Mother of Tears) (2007) in Rome, Italy

Directed by Dario Argento
Written by Jace Anderson, Dario Argento, Walter Fasano, Adam Gierasch and Simona Simonetti
Starring Asia Argento, Cristian Solimeno, Adam James and Moran Atias

Part three of the "Three Mothers" trilogy which takes place in Rome and has to do with Mater Lachrymarum (The Third Mother).

Primary filming occurred in Rome, although some parts were filmed in Turin and at the studios of Cinecittà. The Italian distributor Medusa Film believed the film was too violent and want it to be edited. Medusa's main objection is to "the depiction of perverse sex in the witch gathering satanic scenes and one cannibal killing of a major character."

The opening scene of the film, the opening of the urn with subsequent escape of Sarah Mandy (Asia Argento) , was shot at Palazzo Braschi in Piazza San Pantaleo.

The bridge from which the mother throws the baby into the Tiber is the famous Ponte Sant Angelo.

A shot of Via degli Annibaldi.

The church that is on fire because of the fury of the third mother, is the church of Santa Caterina dei Funari.

Sarah is following the witches at Piazza San Francesco di Paola.
